Mr. A long walk through the woods in any direction well repays the effort, and for the automobilist the drives along the smooth white roads open up vistas that can never be forgotten. In the magnificent scenery of this locality Nature is at her finest the undulating, wooded shores of Garth Lake, on which the resort is situated are inspiring in their beauty. Ten lakes are with easy distance of the lodge, and there is no finer fishing in all this famous region than here muskellunge, pike, bass, pickerel, and large perch abound in the lakes, and Rocky Run, near the lodge, yields fine trout. During a stay at Garth Lake Resort there is never a dull moment. ![]() All vegetables, cream, milk, eggs, and poultry used are produced on the property, and these, supplemented by the finest delicancies the market affords, are appetizingly prepared and served in abundance. The cuisine is particularly excellent, no pains or expense being spared to make this feature attractive. About 35 people can be accommodated, and the service is equal to that of the high-price city hotels. A fleet of eight row boats is maintained for the use of the guests. His main lodge contains dining-room, kitchen, recreation room, and six large sleeping rooms, and besides this building there are seven fine cottages.
